INTRO | Web Design, Brand Photography & Instagram Strategy

When Stephanie got in touch just before Christmas, she was ready for a full refresh — updated headshots, a modernised website, and a clearer visual identity that felt more like her. She’s a performer, teacher, and creative, and she wanted her online presence to reflect that.

We started with a two-hour Portrait+ shoot in Didsbury, focusing on natural light, relaxed expressions, and capturing her personality with room for variation — enough to cover her press needs, teaching work, and portfolio. These images then became the heart of her new branding.

Alongside the photos, I developed a full colour palette and logo direction, pulling tones from the session itself to keep everything cohesive. The result: a warm, grounded identity that felt true to Stephanie, and that flowed seamlessly into the design of her new website.

ABOUT Stephanie

Stephanie is a U.K.-based soprano originally from Sydney, Australia, with over a decade of performance experience across opera, concerts, and musical theatre. She’s performed with companies like English Touring Opera and ENO, and also teaches at Leeds Junior Conservatoire, the University of Bolton, and privately.

WHAT Stephanie NEEDED

Stephanie was after more than just a headshot. She wanted a simple, affordable website she could manage herself — one that felt polished and professional, but still true to who she is. Her old Squarespace 7.0 site was due for a refresh, and the headshots she had didn’t quite match where she was heading creatively. She needed a fresh visual identity, updated images, and a one-page website that tied everything together in one cohesive brand.

WHAT I CREATED

We started with a Portrait+ session in Didsbury, keeping things relaxed and natural. Stephanie wanted a mix of performance-ready headshots and lifestyle images for her website and social channels — so we built in lots of variety and warmth. From there, I created a full brand direction: a tailored colour palette, typefaces, and logo elements that all stemmed from the tone of her photos.

I migrated her old Squarespace 7.0 site into 7.1 and rebuilt it from scratch, keeping the structure simple but thoughtful. The new one-page layout includes her bio, teaching info, repertoire, performance calendar, and contact form — with smooth scrolling, anchor links, and a custom favicon to round things off. I also built in flexibility for future updates, and made sure she felt confident editing it herself going forward.

Highlights

  • Brand photography session with 10 fully edited images

  • Cohesive brand colours & logo direction drawn from the shoot

  • Custom-designed one-page website in Squarespace 7.1

  • Integrated anchor links for smooth scroll navigation

  • Sections for bio, repertoire, teaching, calendar & contact

  • Personalised favicon & custom layout

  • Training & support for easy self-editing

A one-page website that feels like Steph — calm, confident, and easy to update.

Are you building a brand that needs more than just a template? Let’s create something that reflects your work — and grows with you.

Sarah Foubert

I’m a photographer and Squarespace web designer based in Altrincham, South Manchester. I specialise in portrait, landscape and opera photography and also offer a “complete website package” where I can offer headshots, photos of your business and design your new website so you can manage it yourself afterwards.

Over the years I’ve built a portfolio career as a professional photographer, opera singer, wardrobe assistant and singing teacher. I have a MMus from the RNCM, a Bachelor in Theatre Sciences and Musicology from Ghent University and I’m a qualified teacher. When my son was born in 2021 I quickly realised that an opera career wasn’t as compatible with being a mum as much as I would like, so I decided to change my focus completely to photography and web design.

I prefer working with daylight in casual surroundings while having a chat making sure you’re at ease and relaxed. It’s the little moments in between that make the best shots!

Feel free to get in touch if you’d like to work with me!
