WHAT Davide NEEDED
Back in 2017, Davide Levi reached out for a new set of headshots. As a conductor, composer, and pianist with a busy international career, his work takes him all over the world. Because of this, he needed portraits that felt professional but still captured his true personality. He was looking for something understated, timeless, and highly versatile. Imagery that would feel right at home across all his professional platforms.
WHAT I CREATED
Stepping in front of the camera can sometimes bring a bit of tension, so my absolute priority was making sure Davide felt completely comfortable and at ease. I chose a minimal, elegant setting with soft natural light to mirror his understated style, ensuring the focus stayed entirely on him.
During our session, I captured a natural, documentary-style range of shots. Moving gently between formal portraits and more relaxed, candid moments. These headshots became a core part of his visual identity, leaving him with a versatile gallery of images to use across his digital home, press releases, and concert programmes. Photographing Davide was an absolute joy; he is incredibly calm, thoughtful, and genuinely lovely to collaborate with.
