Woodhill Glamping

INTRO | Web Design & SEO

When Woodhill Glamping reached out, they were ready to make a shift. Their family-run retreat in Northern Ireland had grown over the years, and they were ready for a website that felt as thoughtful and well-designed as the experience they offer. We focused on building a site that made booking easy, showed off the peaceful surroundings, and reflected their love of nature through custom visuals and soft, grounded branding.

ABOUT Woodhill Glamping

Woodhill Glamping is a family-run glampsite tucked into the countryside of Northern Ireland. Offering beautiful pod stays with views across rolling green hills, their site is all about calm, nature, and connection. They wanted a website that reflected the quiet charm of their space — and made it easy for guests to book and plan their stay.

WHAT They NEEDED

When Woodhill got in touch, they were ready to grow — with new glamping pods and a desire to shift from third-party platforms to direct bookings. Their wishlist included:

  • A welcoming, user-friendly website

  • Seamless FreeToBook integration for online reservations

  • Strong SEO setup to get found on Google

  • A visual identity rooted in nature

  • Custom artwork to showcase the layout of the land

  • Edited photography to better capture the essence of their retreat

WHAT I CREATED

We began by mapping out what mattered most: ease of booking, beautiful visuals, and a brand that felt as peaceful and grounded as the land itself.

Key Features Included:

  • Squarespace Website with FreeToBook Integration

Guests can check availability and book directly via a smooth, embedded interface — without leaving the site.

  • Hand-Drawn Wainwright-Style Map

Inspired by Alfred Wainwright’s illustrated walking guides, I created a custom site map showing pod placements, communal areas, and walking trails — functional and full of character.

  • Photography Edits for a Cleaner, Calmer Feel

The main banner image needed some Photoshop love — with silos, construction, and visual distractions removed for a more tranquil first impression.

  • Logo Design & Brand Identity

I developed a custom logo and selected fonts and colours that mirror the natural palette of the site — soft greens, earth tones, and plenty of white space for breathing room.

  • Mobile-Friendly Layout & SEO Setup

From structure and alt text to mobile responsiveness and metadata, the site was designed with visibility and usability in mind from day one.

Highlights

  • Custom Squarespace website with booking integration

  • Hand-drawn map in Wainwright-inspired style

  • Edited photography for stronger visual impact

  • Nature-inspired branding and logo

  • Mobile-optimised, SEO-ready site build

A warm, welcoming site that reflects the calm of the countryside

Are you building a brand that needs more than just a template? Let’s create something that reflects your work — and grows with you.

Sarah Foubert

I’m a photographer and Squarespace web designer based in Altrincham, South Manchester. I specialise in portrait, landscape and opera photography and also offer a “complete website package” where I can offer headshots, photos of your business and design your new website so you can manage it yourself afterwards.

Over the years I’ve built a portfolio career as a professional photographer, opera singer, wardrobe assistant and singing teacher. I have a MMus from the RNCM, a Bachelor in Theatre Sciences and Musicology from Ghent University and I’m a qualified teacher. When my son was born in 2021 I quickly realised that an opera career wasn’t as compatible with being a mum as much as I would like, so I decided to change my focus completely to photography and web design.

I prefer working with daylight in casual surroundings while having a chat making sure you’re at ease and relaxed. It’s the little moments in between that make the best shots!

Feel free to get in touch if you’d like to work with me!
