From Orrest Head to Whinlatter Forest – Chasing Stick Man
Chasing the Gruffalo and Stick Man in Cumbria: are Orrest Head and Whinlatter Forest really toddler- and pram-friendly? Honest tips for Julia Donaldson fans.
Hawkshead & Latterbarrow
Discover a stunning circular walk from Hawkshead in the Lake District, perfect for a gentle adventure with breathtaking views. Explore well-maintained paths, enjoy panoramic vistas of iconic fells like the Langdale Pikes and Old Man of Coniston, and soak up the magic of winter mist in the valleys. A short and rewarding route ideal for walkers of all levels.
Rannerdale Knotts (2/214)

A common theme seems to be bubbling to the surface in these posts, almost as if I’d always planned for it..
Latrigg (8/214)
Latrigg a great little mini-fell that won’t take up your whole day, so you can easily plan something else alongside it. I wouldn’t say it was my favourite fell so far, but the views over Keswick and Borrowdale are stunning and well worth the walk.
