Rannerdale Knotts is the second out of 214 fells in my journey to walk all the fells of the Lake District. With startlingly high confidence in my iPhone 8 and no foresight whatsoever, I set out for the Rannerdale Knotts without my DSLR. Weirdly, this ties in to my previous post about the differences, advantages and disadvantages of DSLR cameras and iPhone cameras. A common theme seems to be bubbling to the surface in these posts, almost as if I’d always planned for it..

Dale Head was the first fell I ever did and I didn’t even know it.

Follow my journey to walk all the fells of the Lake District. Today I’ll be chatting about my first fell ever: Dale Head. I also compare the photos I took with my Canon EOS 7D Mark II and my iPhone 8.

Latrigg a great little mini-fell that won’t take up your whole day, so you can easily plan something else alongside it. I wouldn’t say it was my favourite fell so far, but the views over Keswick and Borrowdale are stunning and well worth the walk.
